The short answer: what the index shows
The index is built from the standard public package prices of sites selling social media growth services, captured September 23, 2026, 08:39–18:55 UTC and converted to a price per 1,000 units. Findings are computed from published cells only:
- Coverage: 3,327 price observations on 21 sites; 2,416 passed the equivalence rules. Of 392 comparison cells, the 29 with at least 3 independent competitors are published and 363 are withheld.
- Country targeting: in all 4 comparable pairs, the Turkey-targeted cell's median was higher than the untargeted cell's for the same service (ratio 1.38×–3.29×).
- Refill terms did not move prices in one direction: of 5 comparable pairs, the median of the cell with a refill promise or lifetime claim was higher in 3 and lower in 2 than the no-refill cell (ratio 0.82×–1.55×).
- Prices spread widely even inside one cell: the highest price point was a median 6.31× the lowest (from 2.98× to 32.67× across cells).
- Package size changes the unit price: in 64 of 75 competitor price ladders, the largest package cost less per 1,000 than the smallest (median ratio 0.64×).
- A median that weights every competitor equally differed from the price-point median by at most 43%; the dataset carries both.
Methodology: how prices were collected and compared
Every price was recorded from the seller's own product page, logged out and without adding anything to a cart: URL, UTC time, currency, quantity, and the page's quality and refill wording. No search snippets, list sites or old blog prices were used. Capture window: September 23, 2026, 08:39–18:55 UTC.
Competitor selection and independence
10 sites were selected first: Turkish 3, English 3, German 2, Spanish 2. To widen thin comparisons, 11 additional sites were checked: Turkish 6, English 2, German 2, Spanish 1.
For each site we compared the named operator and its tax or registry number, the support e-mail domain, tracking IDs in the page source, server and nameserver pair, cross-links and shared templates. "Independent" means no evidence of common ownership was found and distinguishing evidence exists; no company-registry or beneficial-owner search was made.
- Sites excluded because independence could not be verified (operator entity or registration unpublished): 2.
- Sites excluded because every price sat under a limited-time discount banner and no regular price was visible: 1. A promotional price is not a standard price.
- Sites counted together with another site as ONE competitor because their operator traces overlap: 2.
- Result: prices from 18 sites count as 16 independent competitors. SociShop's own supplier and wholesale SMM panels are not retail competitors and were not included.
Cells: what is compared with what
A cell holds offers that share every property below. Refill classes and quality classes are never mixed in one cell:
- Market: Turkish-language sites — TRY; English-language sites (US and global) — USD; German-language sites — EUR; Spanish-language sites (Spain) — EUR; the last three also combined — USD.
- Platform and service: followers, likes, views, subscribers, retweets… Facebook page likes are kept apart from post likes, story views from video views, ad-driven views from ordinary views.
- Audience: untargeted (global or no country stated) and country-targeted offers are separate cells.
- Quality statement: offers the seller itself labels bot or low quality form their own class; unverifiable "real/active" claims count as one class. One reading rule applies to every seller: only statements about the product itself count (the page title or product name, the product card or a package notice, a sentence on the product page about this product); general text about the market or other sellers, and price labels such as "economy" or "cheap" on their own, do not.
- Refill: no refill stated, refill up to 30 days, refill over 30 days and lifetime / "never drops" claim are four separate classes.
- Separately branded product lines: a line a seller sells apart from its standard product — for example a separate "organic" line, or a line delivered through a task/exchange system — counts as a different product and is in no cell unless the page shows it is the same product. 146 observations on 4 sites were left out for this reason. The 7 observations whose name or address says "organic" but whose own pages show the seller's standard product are included.
- Purchase type: one-time standard prices only; promo, first-order, coupon and subscription prices are out.
Normalisation and exchange rates
Every price was converted to a price per 1,000 units: price ÷ quantity × 1,000 (watch time: per 1,000 hours). Currencies were converted with the European Central Bank reference rate of 2026-09-22: 1 EUR = 1.1463 USD = 55.9492 TRY.[1]
Where a competitor offered more than one qualifying price for the same quantity in a cell, only the lowest was kept, so two tiers of one package, or two sites of one operator, never count a competitor twice.

Statistics and the publication threshold
For each cell we computed the median, lower and upper quartile (p25, p75: linear interpolation between order statistics, the same method as Excel PERCENTILE.INC), and the lowest and highest price point per 1,000. A cell is published only with at least 3 independent competitors; no figure of the 363 cells below that threshold is published. Tables round amounts of 100 or more to whole units; the files keep four decimals.
SociShop's own prices
SociShop sells the same kinds of services, so its own prices are not index data and are not in the dataset. A SociShop package tier (such as Standard or Premium) is placed next to a published cell only when all of the following hold; its price is then read from the live catalogue when the page renders, never typed by hand:
- Its storefront card states exactly the cell's audience, quality statement and refill class. The audience is read from the card's list label, not from what the supplier says: tabs whose name begins with "Global" carry no country target, and the "Country-targeted list" tab ("Ülke hedefli liste" on the Turkish pages) is, in the Turkish-lira catalogue, the list set aside for Turkey, as the storefront's Turkish pages define that label. In the US-dollar catalogue the same tab states a country target without naming the country, so it matches no cell's audience exactly. The card names the service (Likes, Views and so on) but not a comment type, and comment cells are split by type, so no comment tier fits a comment cell. The refill class comes from the refill line on the card, not from a site-wide promise: a card that names a refill period in days is in the class for that period; every "No refill" line (the supplier offers none, states none, or its terms are not confirmed) is in the "no refill stated" class. SociShop cards carry no bot or low-quality statement, so a tier can only match cells in the "no low-quality statement" class.
- The equivalence review of SociShop's own catalogue has no open flag on the tier. A flag is raised, for example, when two tiers of one service are not separate products at the supplier, or when the supplier's refill terms did not match the storefront wording at review time.
- The tier's supplier does not disclose bot accounts or drops. Because the card makes no quality statement, a tier whose supplier discloses them is not placed next to the cells of sellers who state no low quality.
- The geography the tier's supplier states for the accounts is the card's audience: a Turkey-list tier whose supplier says only part of the accounts are Turkish is not placed. The supplier also delivers the service the card names, not page likes instead of post likes or ad-sourced views instead of ordinary views.
- It is not a combo package, carries no watch condition (such as a minimum watch time per view), and its supplier binding is active, with the supplier's terms confirmed.
- The catalogue has exactly one 1,000-unit package in the tier, so a single package price can stand next to the cell.
- No second SociShop tier that meets all of these fits the same cell.
The Turkish-lira catalogue is compared only with the cells of Turkish-language sites, and the US-dollar catalogue (SociShop's pages in every language except Turkish: English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese) only with the cells of English-language sites and the cells that combine the three markets. Cells of German- or Spanish-language sites on their own are in euros and are not compared.
English-, German- and Spanish-language sites
Evidence is thinner here. On their own, English-language sites passed the threshold in 0 cells, German-language sites in 1, Spanish-language sites in 0. Because SociShop's English, German and Spanish pages share one USD price basis, the three markets are also evaluated together: EUR prices are converted to USD at the ECB rate, and tax bases can differ (most EU sites quote VAT-inclusive prices; see the "tax_basis" column).

Every published cell is in the "no low-quality statement" class: among offers the seller itself labels bot or low quality, no cell reached 3 independent competitors.
Where does SociShop sit?
A SociShop package is placed next to a cell only when its storefront card states exactly the cell's audience, quality statement and refill class, and it passes every other placement check listed under Methodology. SociShop's Turkish-lira catalogue is compared only with the 20 published cells of Turkish-language sites, and its US-dollar catalogue only with the 8 published cells of English-language sites, on their own or combined with German- and Spanish-language sites; cells of German- or Spanish-language sites on their own are in euros and are not compared.
In this version, 15 of these 28 published cells (14 of the 20 Turkish-site cells and 1 of the 8 others) have at least one SociShop package tier (such as Standard or Premium) whose storefront card states exactly the cell's audience, quality statement and refill class: 18 tiers in all, 17 in the Turkish-lira catalogue and 1 in the US-dollar catalogue. None of these tiers passed every other check: 16 have an open flag from the equivalence review of SociShop's catalogue, 1 carries a watch condition and 1 has no single 1,000-unit package in the catalogue. So no SociShop price is placed next to the market figures in this article; a package whose equivalence has not been confirmed would not make a like-for-like comparison.
How to compare prices yourself
The rules behind this index work for a single purchase decision too:
- Compare the same service: followers and page likes, video views and story views, ordinary and ad-driven views are different products.
- Convert to a unit price: package price ÷ quantity × 1,000. Only then can packages of different sizes sit side by side.
- Watch the package size as well: in most price ladders the largest package costs less per 1,000 than the smallest, so do not compare a 100-unit package with a 10,000-unit one even on a unit basis.
- Read the refill wording: does it name a period (30 days, 90 days), or is it an open-ended claim such as "never drops"? An open-ended claim is not a period.
- Match the audience: do not compare a country-targeted package with an untargeted one.
- Do not treat a seller's separately branded line (a separate "organic" package, or one delivered through a task system) as the same product as its standard package; the price gap is a product gap.
- Use the standard price: first-order discounts, coupons and limited-time prices belong in a separate column.
- Check tax and checkout: is VAT included, and does checkout add a fee?
- Do not count two sites of one operator as two options: the company name and tax number on the legal page tell you.
- Leave out packages marked out of stock or under maintenance.
Example (hypothetical): a 250-unit package for 30 currency units costs 30 ÷ 250 × 1,000 = 120 per 1,000.
Limitations
- One day, one location: September 23, 2026, 08:39–18:55 UTC. Prices change often; geographic price differences were not tested.
- Standard public prices only: logged-in prices, post-coupon prices and checkout fees were not observed.
- Quality and refill statements are the sellers' own words; whether accounts are real or refills are honoured was not tested.
- A price per 1,000 pools different package sizes, so a cell's median depends on which sizes its competitors sell.
- Combined English/German/Spanish cells mix currencies (ECB rate of 2026-09-22) and tax bases.
- Cells hold few competitors (at least 3); one competitor's price change can move a median.
- The independence check made no company-registry or beneficial-owner search; two sites with one owner may have been missed.

Each row is one cell. Main columns: market, platform, service, audience, quality_class, refill_class; per-1,000 median, p25, p75, min, max in the market currency, plus USD/EUR/TRY equivalents; median_of_competitor_medians (every competitor weighted equally); n_competitors and n_price_points; quantity_min/max; capture_start_utc/capture_end_utc; tax_basis; fx_reference_date. The JSON file's version_history field lists every build, whether it was published, and the cells dropped, restated and added against the build before it.
Version history: 1.2.0 (2026-09-24) is the first published version of this index. 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 were internal builds made before publication and never published. The rules corrected in the independent checks before publication, and their effect on each cell, are listed in the version_history field of the JSON file.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do 1,000 Instagram likes cost on English, German and Spanish sites?
Across English-, German- and Spanish-language sites, the median per 1,000 untargeted Instagram likes was $9.06 in the refill up to 30 days class (3 competitors) and $7.98 in the lifetime / "never drops" claim class (4 competitors). Prices were captured September 23, 2026, 08:39–18:55 UTC; ranges and package sizes are in the table.
Why are some services and markets missing?
A cell is published only with at least 3 independent competitors. 363 of 392 cells fell below that threshold, and none of their figures is published.
Why are the competitor sites not named?
The index describes the market level; it is not a ranking of sellers. The dataset holds aggregates only: median, quartiles, lowest and highest price point, and the number of competitors and price points.
Can I use the dataset?
The CSV and JSON files are free to download. If you reuse the figures, cite the index name, its version (1.2.0) and this page.
