This policy explains what personal data is processed when you use SociShop, why it is processed and who it is shared with.
Data controller
The controller of the personal data described in this policy is Social Developer LTD, the business that operates SociShop. Address: 947 Long Hill Road, Gillette, NJ 07933-1306, United States. How to exercise your rights is explained under Your rights below.
What we collect
At checkout: your name, email address, and the public username or profile link the service is for. Recorded automatically: your IP address, browser user agent and the page you arrived from (referer). If you open an account we also store your name, email and an irreversibly hashed password; if you use the wallet, your balance and transaction history. If you write to us on WhatsApp: your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the messages in that conversation. Orders placed before this version of the policy took effect may also carry the WhatsApp number the checkout asked for then; it is used only to contact you about that order.
What we never ask for
We never ask for your social media password and never log into your account. Your card number never reaches our systems — it is handled by the payment provider, and we retain only a payment reference.
Why we process it
To fulfil your order, answer support requests, verify payments and prevent fraud, and to keep the records tax and commercial law require.
Who we share it with
Payment providers (Stripe, PayPal) to take payment. Service providers that help deliver orders (Turkey), which receive only your public profile link and the order quantity so the order can be delivered. If you write to us on WhatsApp, or we message you there about an earlier order that carries your number, the number and those messages are processed by WhatsApp (Meta). We do not sell your personal data or pass it on for marketing.
Cookies
We use the functional socishop_locale cookie to remember a language you choose. When Google Analytics 4 is enabled, the Google tag loads even before you choose; analytics storage is denied unless you have accepted analytics. In that state Google may receive limited measurements without analytics cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage as socishop_consent; advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization remain denied.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, its correction or deletion, object to processing, and ask for portability. Make the request on WhatsApp (the WhatsApp button on every page). If you are in the EU you may also complain to your national data protection authority; in Turkey, to the KVKK Authority.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for the period commercial and tax law requires. After that they are deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
